In addition to such reimbursement for travel and other expenses as isnormally allowed to State employees, each member of the Board, for each day orsubstantial portion thereof that the member is engaged in the work of the Boardmay receive a per diem allowance, as determined by the Board in accordance withG.S. 93B‑5.
