It is the purpose and intentof the Recreational Therapy Licensure Act to safeguard the health and safety ofthe public and to protect the public from harm by unqualified persons byestablishing a minimum level of education, experience, and competence to assurethe highest degree of professional care and conduct on the part of licensedrecreational therapists and licensed recreational therapy assistants.
