27A-1-9. Requirements for a competency-based endorsement--Procedures. The Department of Human Services shall establish requirements for a competency-based endorsement for a qualified mental health professional and procedures for obtaining the endorsement. The department shall specify the period of time for which the endorsement is valid. The department may establish continuing education requirements for renewal of the endorsement and criteria for approval of providers of continuing education. The department may require an initial application fee and a renewal fee to cover the administrative costs associated with the endorsement. The department shall implement this section by rules promulgated pursuant to chapter 1-26 by July 1, 1995.
