46A-4-39. Vacancy in office of board of directors--Filling--District treasurer appointed by board. In case of a vacancy in the office of a member of the board of directors, the vacancy shall be filled by appointment by a majority of the remaining members of the board. Any director so appointed shall hold his office until the next general election of such division and until his successor is elected and qualified. The district treasurer shall be appointed by the board of directors and shall serve at the pleasure of the board.
