§ 318. Assistance with discovery

(a) A tribunal or the office of child support of this state may request a tribunal of another state to assist in obtaining discovery.

(b) A tribunal of this state may, upon request, compel a person over whom it has jurisdiction to respond to a discovery order issued by a tribunal of another state. After notice and an opportunity to be heard, the person may show cause why he or she should not be compelled to respond under the law of the initiating state. (Added 1997, No. 11, § 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1998.)
