64.450 Action against officer issuing illegal fee-bill. An officer who issues a fee-bill that contains any illegal or improper item or item for <br>services not rendered, or that omits the name of any of the parties legally chargeable <br>therewith or that issues for a fee against any person not legally chargeable with the same, <br>or that has been paid, or does not strictly comport in every particular with the laws in <br>respect to fee-bills, shall be liable to an action at the suit of any person upon whose <br>property a distraint is made by virtue of such fee-bill. No officer issuing such fee-bill <br>shall, in defense of such action, justify under the fee-bill. In such action the finding of the <br>jury shall not be less than three (3) times the amount of the fee-bill. Effective: October 1, 1942 <br>History: Recodified 1942 Ky.
