65.468 Planning commission to issue advisory report on acquisition. The local legislative body shall not acquire a scenic easement until the matter has been <br>referred to its planning department or planning commission, where such planning body <br>exists, and report thereon has been received from the planning commission. Within 30 <br>days after receiving the proposal to acquire a scenic easement, the planning commission <br>shall submit its report to the governing body. The governing body may extend the time <br>for submitting such a report for an additional period not exceeding 30 days. The report <br>shall contain a statement that the proposal is, or is not, consistent with the comprehensive <br>plan of the jurisdiction where such plan exists. The report shall be considered advisory to <br>the local legislative body and shall not be binding upon it or restrict its actions in the <br>matter. History: Created 1976 Ky. Acts ch. 123, sec. 5.
