95.951 Qualifications for police or auxiliary police officer. As of July 14, 1992, no person shall be originally appointed or employed as a police <br>officer or an auxiliary police officer by a city, urban-county, or charter county government <br>in the Commonwealth unless he: <br>(1) Is at least twenty-one (21) years of age; and <br>(2) Is a high school graduate, has received a general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.), or has received a high school diploma through participation in the external diploma <br>program. Effective: July 15, 1996 <br>History: Amended 1996 Ky. Acts ch. 145, sec. 2, effective July 15, 1996. -- Created 1992 Ky. Acts ch. 428, sec. 2, effective July 14, 1992.
