104.640 Attorney, engineer, and other employees -- Supplies and equipment. The board of directors may employ an attorney and a chief engineer for the district, who <br>shall hold office at the pleasure of the board and who shall give such bond as is required <br>by the board. The board may employ such other engineers, attorneys, agents and <br>assistants as may be needed, and may prescribe the duties and fix the compensation of all <br>the employees of the district. The board may maintain, furnish and equip an office or <br>offices, and purchase such office supplies, equipment, apparatus, appliances, instruments <br>and tools as are necessary, which, with all other necessary expenditures shall be taken as a <br>part of the cost of maintaining and operating the flood control works. The employment of <br>the engineer, attorney and other personnel for the district shall be evidenced on the <br>minutes of the board, with their compensation, and their term of employment shall be at <br>the pleasure of the board.
