157.606 Administration -- Grants -- Authority to promulgate administrative regulations. (1) To facilitate opportunities for statewide participation by public school children in the Commonwealth in educational experiences available through the Kentucky <br>Center for the Arts, the Department of Education shall administer the Ride to the <br>Center for the Arts Program. Moneys from the ride to the center for the arts fund <br>shall be used to provide matching funds to local school districts for the cost of <br>transportation of students in grades six (6), seven (7), eight (8), and nine (9) for the <br>purpose of visiting the Kentucky Center for the Arts. (2) Grants shall be in the amount equal to one-half (1/2) the total transportation cost of the visit, as submitted and certified to by the local district to the chief state school <br>officer or his designee. (3) The Kentucky Board of Education shall promulgate administrative regulations as may be needed in the administration of the program and disbursement of moneys <br>from the fund.
