79-2104.02. Learning community coordinatingcouncil; use of funds; report.Each learning community coordinating council shall use anyfunds received after January 15, 2011, pursuant to section 79-1241.03 forevaluation and research pursuant to plans developed by the learning communitycoordinating council with assistance from the educational service unit coordinatingcouncil and the student achievement coordinator and adjusted on an ongoingbasis. The evaluation shall be conducted by one or more other entities orindividuals who are not employees of the learning community and shall measureprogress toward the goals and objectives of the learning community, whichgoals and objectives shall include closing academic achievement gaps basedon socioeconomic status, and the effectiveness of the approaches used by thelearning community or pilot project to reach such goals and objectives. Anyresearch conducted pursuant to this section shall also be related to suchgoals and objectives. After the first full year of operation, each learningcommunity shall report evaluation and research results to the Education Committeeof the Legislature on or before December 1 of each year.
