§127A‑71.  Disbursing and accounting officer.

The Governor shall appoint adisbursing officer, approved by and of such rank as may be prescribed by theSecretary of the Navy, to perform such duties as the Secretary of the Navy mayprescribe. The Governor shall also appoint the above described disbursingofficer, or such other officer of the pay corps of the naval militia as he mayelect, as accounting officer for each battalion thereof, or at his option foreach larger unit or combination of units of the same, who shall be responsiblefor the proper accounting for all public property issued to and for the use ofsuch battalion or larger unit or combination of units.
