§14‑318.1.  Discarding or abandoning iceboxes, etc.; precautions required.

It shall be unlawful for anyperson, firm or corporation to discard, abandon, leave or allow to remain inany place any icebox, refrigerator or other container, device or equipment ofany kind with an interior storage area of more than one and one‑halfcubic feet of clear space which is airtight, without first removing the door ordoors or hinges from such icebox, refrigerator, container, device orequipment.  This section shall not apply to any icebox, refrigerator,container, device or equipment which is being used for the purpose for which itwas originally designed, or is being used for display purposes by any retail orwholesale merchant, or is crated, strapped or locked to such an extent that itis impossible for a child to obtain access to any airtight compartmentthereof.  Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guiltyof a Class 1 misdemeanor.
