§ 160A‑479. Creation of authority; definition.
(a) Any two or more units of local government may create aregional sports authority by adopting identical concurrent resolutions to thateffect in accordance with the provisions of this Part. The concurrentresolutions creating a regional sports authority, and any amendments theretowill be referred to in this Part as the "charter" of the regionalsports authority. For the purposes of this Part, "unit of local government"means a county, city or consolidated city‑county.
(b) Any regional sports authority created pursuant to this Partshall be a body corporate and politic. (1989, c. 780, s. 1.)
