§25‑2A‑104.  Leases subject to other law.

(1)        A lease, althoughsubject to this Article, is also subject to any applicable:

(a)        certificate of titlestatute of this State (G.S. 20‑50, G.S. 75A‑32 et seq.);

(b)        certificate of titlestatute of another jurisdiction (G.S. 25‑2A‑105); or

(c)        consumer protectionstatute of this State, or final consumer protection decision of a court of thisState existing on the effective date of this Article.

(2)        In case of conflictbetween this Article, other than G.S. 2A‑105, 2A‑304(3), and 2A‑305(3),and a statute or decision referred to in subsection (1) of this section, thestatute or decision controls.

(3)        Failure to complywith an applicable law has only the effect specified therein. (1993,c. 463, s. 1.)
