It shall be unlawful for anyscale technician to render service as a scale technician until after he or shehas compiled with the following requirements:
(1) Obtained from theDepartment of Agriculture and Consumer Services a copy of this Article, a copyof regulations pertinent to said Article, and an application form forregistration.
(2) to (4) Repealed bySession Laws 1983, c. 111, s. 2.
(5) Obtained aregistration card or certificate from the Commissioner or his authorized agentand a model form of service certificate.
(6) Obtained from theDepartment an annual certification of the standards of weight which will beused by the scale technician.
The provisions of this Articleshall not apply to a full‑time employee who renders service only on ascale or weighing device, or on scales or weighing devices, owned solely by hisor her employer unless additional pay or compensation is received for suchservice.
