Service of process on theClerk of the North Carolina Supreme Court, pursuant to this Article, shall bemade by personally delivering to and leaving with the Clerk duplicate copies ofsuch process together with a fee of ten dollars ($10.00). The Clerk shallpromptly send one of such copies to the foreign legal consultant to whom theprocess is directed, by certified mail, return receipt requested, addressed tothe foreign legal consultant at the address specified by the foreign legalconsultant in his or her application under G.S. 84A‑2, as updatedpursuant to G.S. 84A‑5(5).
