15-327. Advisory meetings of school district
electors; notice; procedure; effect


A. The governing board may call meetings of the qualified school electors of the
school district for consultation concerning any litigation in which the district is
engaged or is likely to become engaged, or concerning any other affairs of the district
not otherwise provided for.


B. Upon a petition of fifteen per cent or one thousand of the qualified electors of
the school district as shown by the last regular school election, the governing board
shall call such meeting.


C. Meetings of electors shall be called by posting notices in three public places
in the school district, including the door of the school building, for not less than ten
days preceding the meeting. The notices shall specify the purpose for which the meeting
is called, and no other business shall be transacted at the meeting.


D. A school district meeting shall be called to order and presided over by the
president of the governing board or, in his absence, by an elector chosen by the electors
present. At the meetings all voting shall be by ballot of the qualified school
electors. In all matters the meeting may exercise advisory power only.
