15-364. Agreements and expenditure of public
monies for recreational facilities on school properties; use of
proceeds of bond issues


A. The governing board of a school district may enter into agreements with
counties, cities, towns or other school district governing boards, providing for the
construction, development, cooperative maintenance, operation and use of parks and
recreational facilities, including swimming pools, on properties used for school purposes
and under the control of such school districts. The governing boards may expend public
monies for the construction and development of such parks or recreational facilities in
cooperation with cities, towns and counties.


B. Counties, cities and towns may expend public monies and enter into agreements
with cities, towns and school district governing boards for the construction,
development, cooperative maintenance, operation and use of parks, swimming pools and
other recreational facilities on properties used for school purposes, if the governing
authorities having charge and control of such properties give their consent and
cooperation.


C. Cities, towns and counties with a population of five hundred thousand persons or
more according to the most recent United States decennial census may use the proceeds of
bond issues for the purposes of this section.
