15-756.12. Auditor general; duties
The auditor general shall:
1. Modify the annual financial report prescribed in section 15-904 in order to
carry out this article.
2. Biennially audit the overall effectiveness of the English language learner
program based on performance based outcome measurements and increased English proficiency
and review the mobility of English proficient students and English language learners.
3. Conduct financial audits on school districts monitored pursuant to section
15-756.08. The financial audits shall include a review of the structured English
immersion budget requests submitted pursuant to sections 15-756.01 and 15-756.03 and of
the statewide compensatory instruction budget requests submitted pursuant to section
15-756.11. The auditor general may conduct financial audits on randomly selected school
districts that are not currently monitored pursuant to section 15-756.08.
