17-310. Agreement to appear in court
Game rangers, wildlife managers, and other peace officers may take any person before
a magistrate within the county in which an offense is committed for a violation of any
provision of this title, but any person apprehended for violating any provision of this
title punishable as a misdemeanor may be issued a notice to appear before such magistrate
bearing the date, time and place for such appearance, the offense charged, and the
location or approximate location where the violation was committed. The notice shall be
signed by the person notified to appear, and he shall be given a copy thereof and
thereupon may be released from custody. Failure of such person to appear at the time and
place specified shall be cause for issuance of a warrant for his arrest for failure to
appear.
