20-152. Enforcement


A. If the director has cause to believe that a person has violated any penal
provision of this title or other laws relating to insurance, and that prosecution of the
person is advisable, he shall certify the facts of such violation to the attorney
general, who shall bring and prosecute such action as may be required for the purpose of
punishing the violation.


B. If the director has cause to believe that any person is violating or is about to
violate any provision of this title or any lawful order of the director, he may certify
the facts thereof to the attorney general, who shall bring and prosecute such action as
may be required for the purpose of enjoining the violation.


C. The attorney general shall prosecute or defend all proceedings brought pursuant
to or resulting from enforcement of this title when requested by the director.
