20-1588. Examination of records; order;
notice


A. If he has reason to believe that any title insurance agent has violated or is
violating any of the provisions of this article, the director shall forthwith examine
such title insurance agent's books of account, records and vouchers pertaining to the
business of title insurance, and any title insurance agent so examined shall pay to the
director the cost of such examination on demand.


B. The director's order after an examination of a title insurer and its authorized
title insurance agents shall describe each violation found by the director, the name of
the title insurer or title insurance agent that caused or committed the violation and the
penalty, if any, imposed for each violation.


C. After an examination of a title insurer and its authorized title insurance
agents, a copy of the director's order or notice to the title insurer under section
20-151 shall be provided to each title insurance agent of the title insurer affected by
the order or notice.
