27-677. Violation; civil penalty

A. In any action brought pursuant to section 27-676 against a person who violates
any provision of this article, or any rule or order of the commission, the court may
impose a civil penalty of not more than one thousand dollars for each violation and for
each day the violation continues.

B. In addition to any criminal penalties which may be imposed pursuant to section
27-663, the commission, through the attorney general, may bring an action in the superior
court in the county where the violation occurred against any person who violates any
provision of section 27-663 for imposition of a civil penalty of not more than one
thousand dollars for each violation. Each day the violation continues shall constitute a
separate violation for which a civil penalty may be imposed.

C. Civil penalties collected under this section shall be deposited in the state
general fund.
