28-4835. Presumption of responsibility


The abandonment of a vehicle in a manner provided in this chapter is a presumption
that the last registered owner of record is responsible for the abandonment and is
subject to this chapter, unless either:


1. An affidavit has been filed that the vehicle was stolen pursuant to section
28-4844.


2. A stolen report has been accepted by a local law enforcement agency.


3. A report has been filed pursuant to section 28-2058.
