28-5203. Motor carrier safety revolving
fund

A. A motor carrier safety revolving fund is established consisting of monies
appropriated to the fund by the legislature, monies deposited pursuant to this chapter
and monies received from private grants or donations if so designated by the grantor or
donor.

B. Monies in the fund are a continuing appropriation to the department to be used
by the department, the attorney general and the department of public safety to carry out
this chapter. The director shall distribute monies in the fund.

C. The director of the department of transportation shall make a full accounting of
the use of the fund to the director of the department of administration annually or as
required by the director of the department of administration.

D. The motor carrier safety revolving fund is exempt from the provisions of section
35-190 relating to lapsing of appropriations.
