28-6749. Cooperative contracts with federal
government


A. The county highway commission may enter into cooperative contracts and
agreements for construction of roads with the United States or any of its departments or
agencies pursuant to an act of Congress.


B. The provisions of law relating to methods of spending monies derived from the
sale of the bonds do not apply to these cooperative contracts. On order of the county
highway commission, the county treasurer shall deposit any monies in the county treasury
that are subject to the disposition or control of the county highway commission required
under a cooperative contract in a United States depository designated by the officer of
the United States authorized by law to enter into the contract to the credit of and to be
spent by this officer under the terms of the contract.
