31-143. Use of prisoners by county
engineer


The county engineer shall receive and work prisoners sentenced to hard labor who are
authorized by the board of supervisors to be employed. The engineer may exercise the
powers of a constable to transport, supervise and control available numbers of prisoners
released to him for work.
