35-148. Payment for interagency services as
credit to account of agency; transfer of miscellaneous state monies
to general fund; exceptions


A. Interagency service agreements entered into between budget units may provide for
reimbursement for services performed or advancement of funds for services to be
performed. In either instance, monies received by the budget unit performing the
services shall be credited to its appropriation account for its use in performing the
services. If funds are advanced, the agency performing the services shall make an
accounting of expenditures and return any advances not used to the appropriation account
of the advancing agency.


B. Except as provided in subsection A of this section, when money belonging to the
state comes into the possession of a state officer, by recovery at law or otherwise, and
no provision of law exists for the disposition of such money, it shall be deposited,
pursuant to sections 35-146 and 35-147, in the state general fund.


C. The provisions of this section shall not apply to money realized from the sale
of personal property or from the sale of real property or improvements thereon by the
Arizona board of regents, or by educational institutions under the control of the Arizona
board of regents or the department of economic security.
