36-1420. Acceptance of federal aid
A. In addition to the powers conferred on a political subdivision of this state by
other provisions of this article, a public housing authority, city, town or county may
borrow money or accept contributions, grants or other financial assistance from the
federal government for or in aid of any housing project within its area of operation,
and, to these ends, comply with such conditions, trust indentures, leases or agreements
as are necessary, convenient or desirable.
B. This article authorizes every public housing authority, city, town or county to
do all things that are consistent with this article and that are or may be necessary,
convenient or desirable to secure the financial aid or cooperation of the federal
government in the undertaking, acquisition, construction, maintenance or operation of any
housing project of the public housing authority, city, town or county.
