36-2022. Establishment of facilities
A. The division, with the approval of the director, shall develop, encourage and
foster statewide, county and local plans and programs for the prevention of alcoholism
and treatment of alcoholics and intoxicated persons in cooperation with public and
private agencies, organizations and individuals and provide technical assistance and
consultation services for these purposes.
B. Counties may establish a public treatment facility or facilities for the
evaluation and treatment of alcoholics and intoxicated persons by resolution of the board
of supervisors.
C. Counties may contract with other counties for the services of a public treatment
facility or may contract with a private treatment facility.
