37-204. Advances for survey; repayment
For the purpose of having public lands of the United States surveyed to satisfy any
public land grants made to the state in the manner prescribed by the act of Congress
approved August 18, 1894, and as that act was made applicable to this state by the
enabling act, the governor may deposit to the credit of the treasurer of the United
States at a United States depository designated by the commissioner of the general land
office, monies necessary for the survey of any township for which application for survey
has been made, and the director of the department of administration shall draw the
necessary warrants for that purpose. Such warrants shall be paid from the general fund,
and when the monies so advanced are returned to the state they shall be returned to the
general fund.
