41-1966. Department of economic security;
audit team; duties


A. The auditor general shall establish an audit team to be located in the
department of economic security to provide ongoing performance review and analyses.


B. Pursuant to an audit plan adopted after review by the joint legislative audit
committee, the audit team may:


1. Determine the validity and accuracy of information reported by the division to
the legislature.


2. Perform other reviews and analyses relating to child protective services as set
forth in the audit plan.


3. Review a specific division function or process relating to child protective
services as requested by the joint legislative audit committee.


C. Pursuant to section 41-1279.04, the department shall provide the auditor general
access to any data from the department, including electronic data, the auditor general
deems necessary to perform the duties outlined in this section. This data shall be
provided in the manner and format prescribed by the auditor general.
