One hundred eighty days after the final disposition of an investigation and any ensuing enforcement action, the department may destroy those weights, measures or devices that are seized pursuant to section 41-2065 or 41-2066 or transfer the items to the department of administration for disposition as state surplus property pursuant to the direction of the department of administration, surplus property division.
