44-1281. Duties of secretary of state


The secretary of state shall:


1. Prescribe and publish the forms and adopt the rules necessary to carry out this
article.


2. Refer to the attorney general or county attorney for investigation any matter
which the secretary of state has reason to believe constitutes a violation of this
article.


3. Preserve for five years from the date of filing all information required to be
filed pursuant to this article, after which the information shall be destroyed. This
information is public information and is open to public inspection.
