44-1964. Temporary suspension orders
A. If the commission has reasonable grounds to believe that a registered dealer or
salesman has been guilty of any act or omission which would be sufficient ground for
denying or revoking the registration of the dealer or salesman, it may enter an order
temporarily suspending the registration of the dealer or salesman pending an examination
into his affairs, or pending a hearing or notice and opportunity for hearing as provided
by article 11 of this chapter, but no temporary suspension order shall be effective for
more than thirty days except with consent of the registrant. The suspension order shall
state specifically the grounds for its issuance.
B. On entry of the temporary suspension order, or of an order withdrawing a
temporary suspension order previously entered, the director shall send a copy of the
order, by certified mail, to the dealer or salesman whose registration is affected at the
dealer's or salesman's business address, and, if the order affects the registration of a
salesman, to the registered dealer who employs the salesman.
