48-2331. Organization of board; term of
office; location of district office


A. On the third Tuesday in October following a regular district election, the
directors elected at the regular October election and whose terms have not then expired
shall meet and organize the board, elect a president and appoint a secretary who shall
hold office during the pleasure of the board. The term of office of directors, except
those who have drawn an initial shorter term as provided in section 48-2315, shall be
four years.


B. The office of the board of directors of the district may be established by the
board at the county seat or at some other convenient place, either within or without the
district but within the county in which the district is organized. After the office is
established it shall not be changed without giving notice thereof by posting in three
public places in the district and by publishing a similar notice for at least one week in
a newspaper of general circulation published in the county where the district is
organized.
