48-2335. Administrative powers of
board


The board may, for and in the name of the district:


1. Manage and conduct the business and affairs of the district.


2. Make and execute all necessary contracts.


3. Adopt a seal for the district to be used in the attestation of documents.


4. Provide for the payment from the appropriate funds of all debts and just claims
against the district.


5. Employ and appoint, when necessary, engineers to survey, plan, locate and
estimate the cost of the works necessary for irrigation, drainage or power, or any of
them.


6. Establish and enforce by-laws, rules and regulations necessary to carry on any
of the business of the district.


7. Perform all other acts and things necessary to carry out the purposes of this
chapter.
