48-2385. Duties of election officers; time of
election; form of ballots
A. The inspector shall be chairman of the election board and may administer all
oaths required during the election, and appoint judges and clerks if, during the
election, any judge or clerk ceases to act. Any member of the board of election or clerk
thereof may administer and certify oaths required to be administered during the
election. The board of election for each precinct may, before opening the polls, appoint
two persons to act as clerks of the election. Before opening the polls each member of
the board and each clerk shall take and subscribe an oath to perform faithfully the
duties imposed upon him by law. Any elector of the precinct may administer and certify
to the oath.
B. The polls shall be opened at six o'clock in the morning and be kept open until
seven o'clock in the afternoon on the day of election.
C. The provisions of the general election laws of the state prescribing the form of
ballots to be used shall not apply to elections held under this article.
