49-721. Statewide solid waste management
plan
The department shall prepare and keep current a statewide solid waste management
plan which establishes standards for solid waste facilities in cooperation with facility
owners or operators, local governments and management agencies. The department shall
notify solid waste management agencies and facility owners or operators of proposed
changes to the plan at least three months prior to submission of the plan to the director
for adoption. The department shall update and readopt the plan as determined necessary
by the director.
