5-411. Credentials and authority of employees of
the licensing authority

Each employee designated by the licensing authority to investigate compliance with
this chapter shall, for identification purposes, possess credentials signed by the chief
administration officer of the licensing authority and countersigned by the
governor. When bearing such credentials the employee has the authority of a peace
officer for the limited purposes of enforcing this chapter but does not thereby
participate in the public safety personnel retirement system.
