6-847. Definitions


In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:


1. "Covered claim" means an unpaid claim approved by the court in accordance with
section 6-833 and for which the fund is liable as provided in section 6-847.04.


2. "Fund" means the Arizona escrow recovery fund.


3. "Impaired escrow agent" means an escrow agent that has been ordered into
receivership by the court under section 6-833.


4. "Real property escrow agent" means an escrow agent that also is a title insurer
or title insurance agent licensed under title 20 and any wholly owned subsidiary of the
real property escrow agent that is a licensed escrow agent but is not a title insurer or
title insurance agent licensed under title 20.
