Chapter 24.--DRAINAGE AND LEVEES
Article 4.--DRAINAGE DISTRICTS WITHIN COUNTIES OR CITIES

      24-481.   Application for incorporation of drainagedistrict underarticle 7; when.Whenever a petition has been or shall hereafter be filed in thedistrict court in any county in the state of Kansas having a populationof more than 85,000 and less than 130,000, for the establishment ofdrainage on petition to court as authorized by the provisions of article7, chapter 24, of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and when andafter the proceedings authorized by said article shall have reached thepoint where the court shall have approved the boundaries of a proposeddrainage district and shall have authorized the commissioners appointedby said court to proceed with final plans, as provided inK.S.A. 24-705, the said boardof drainage commissioners appointed by said court may, with the approvalof said court, apply to the board of county commissioners of the countywherein said drainage is to be provided (or if said drainage projectcovers lands in more than one county, then in the district court of thecounty in which the greater number of acres of said proposed districtare situate), for the incorporation of a drainage district to becomposed of the lands found and approved by the court to be benefittedby such proposed drainage.
