§ 5-506.1. Reinstatement of expired permits.
 

(a)  In general.- The Board may reinstate a beauty salon permit that has expired if the owner of the salon: 

(1) applies to the Board for reinstatement within 45 days after the permit expires; 

(2) otherwise meets the requirements of § 5-506(c) of this subtitle; and 

(3) pays to the Board a reinstatement fee established by the Board in accordance with § 5-205 of this title, in addition to the renewal fee required under § 5-506(c)(2) of this subtitle. 

(b)  Failure to renew permit.- If an owner of a salon has failed to renew a beauty salon permit and applies to the Board for reinstatement more than 45 days after the permit has expired, the Board shall reinstate the permit only if the salon owner qualifies for a beauty salon permit in accordance with §§ 5-502 and 5-503 of this subtitle.
