(a) Prohibited act.- A person may not establish or operate a public or private cemetery or allow a public or private cemetery to be operated in violation of this subtitle.
(b) Penalty.- A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both.
(c) Corporate violations.- If a sole proprietor registered cemeterian, a permit holder, or any other person subject to the trust requirements of this subtitle violates this subtitle, that person is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both.
