§ 1-207. Remission of fines and forfeitures.
 

(a)  Fines or forfeitures.- The Governor may remit all or part of a fine or forfeiture. 

(b)  Recognizance.- A defendant or surety applying for the remission of all or part of a recognizance that has been forfeited: 

(1) may apply to a court to order the remission in accordance with Title 4 of the Maryland Rules; and 

(2) need not apply to the Governor to order the remission.
