§ 11-305. Established.
 

(a)  Status.- An authority is a body politic and corporate and is an instrumentality of the State once the State Department of Assessments and Taxation accepts the articles of incorporation for record. 

(b)  Essential governmental function.- The exercise by an authority of a power under this subtitle is the performance of an essential governmental function.
