(a) In general.- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b) Examining authority.- "Examining authority" means the Director of the Bureau or the Director's designee when referring to the procedure for grant or suspension of a permit of competence or grant or suspension of a first-class mine foreman certificate of competence or a fire-boss certificate of competence.
