§ 10-138. Settlement of claims.
 

(a)  Authorized.- Subject to subsection (b) of this section, the President of the Fund may settle a claim that the Fund has against a governmental unit or person who is alleged to be liable for an accident for which the Fund pays compensation. 

(b)  Conditions.- The President may settle a claim under this section only if: 

(1) the Workers' Compensation Commission consents; and 

(2) for a settlement that will prejudice any right of an injured employee, the employee consents.
