(a) In general.- In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b) Commission.- "Commission" means Commission of the Maryland Geological Survey.
(c) Department.- "Department" means Department of Natural Resources.
(d) Paleontology.- "Paleontology" means the branch of geology that deals with prehistoric forms of life through the study of plant and animal fossils.
(e) Secretary.- "Secretary" means Secretary of Natural Resources.
(f) Survey.- "Survey" means Maryland Geological Survey.
